Organellar DNA information

Organellar DNA (oDNA) is DNA contained in organelles (such as mitochondria and chloroplasts), outside the nucleus of eukaryotic cells.[1]

  • Mitochondria contain mitochondrial DNA
  • Plastids (e.g., chloroplasts) contain plastid DNA
