Xi Andromedae (ξ Andromedae, abbreviated Xi And, ξ And), officially named Adhil /əˈdɪl/,[7][8] is a solitary[3] star in the northern constellation of Andromeda. It has an apparent magnitude of +4.9.[2] Based on parallax measurements obtained during the Gaia mission, it lies at a distance of roughly 223 light-years (68 parsecs) from the Sun.[1]
