Whitworth Sharpshooters information


Whitworth Sharpshooters were the Confederates' answer to the Union sharpshooter regiments, and they used the British Whitworth rifle.[1] These men accompanied regular infantrymen and their occupation was usually eliminating Union artillery gun crews.
