Rano Emirate information

Rano Emirate is one of the four new emirates created in Kano State, Nigeria in 2019.[1][2][3] It is also one of the oldest settlements in Northern Nigeria, dating back to the 6th century AD. Rano Emirates has a rich and diverse cultural heritage, with historical monuments such as rocks, walls, and palaces. Rano Emirates was once part of the Kano Emirate, which was a Muslim state that emerged from the Fulani jihad in the early 19th century. Rano Emirates has had three ruling dynasties: the Kwararrafawa, the Habe, and the Fulani.[4][5][6] The current emir of Rano Emirates is Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa,[7][8][9] who was appointed in 2020 after deceased of first emir of Rano Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila.[10][11]
