Rachel Humphreys (18 October 1952 – 30 January 1990) was a muse and lover to musician Lou Reed.[1] A transgender woman,[2] Humphreys inspired lyrics, songs and artwork by Reed, was his live-in romantic partner, and accompanied him on the road as a hairdresser and tour manager during the mid-1970s.[3]
