Qir (Persian: قير)[a] is a city in the Central District of Qir and Karzin County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] The city has an altitude of 771 metres (2,530 ft).[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 16,839 in 3,722 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 18,038 people in 4,603 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 20,010 people in 5,650 households.[2]
