Noksen is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Nagaland state in India.[2][3][4] It is part of Tuensang District and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.[5]

It was the first assembly seat in India, where Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) system was first used with EVMs in a by-poll in September 2013.[6][7] In October 2013, Supreme Court of India gave a landmark judgement directing Election Commission of India to use VVPAT system for vote validation in phased manner in all subsequent elections in India.[8][9][10][11]
