The National Council of Women of the United States (NCW/US) is the oldest [1][better source needed] nonsectarian organization of women in the United States Founded in 1888,[2] the NCW/US is an accredited non-governmental organization (NGO) with the Department of Public Information (UN/DPI)[1] and in Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).[3]
