Much Woolton Old School is a small Grade II* listed building on School Lane in Woolton, Liverpool, United Kingdom.
An inscription on the building's exterior claims it to be the "oldest elementary school building in Lancashire" and built in 1610. Whilst this statement is accepted as likely to be true[1][2] (and probably one of the oldest of its type in all of England as well),[3][4] the date of construction is disputed. It ceased to be used as a school in the mid 19th century. Since 1990, the building has been used as a nursery.
