The Marengo trial or Marengo case (Dutch: Marengo-proces) is a trial of alleged leading members of the Mocro Maffia, a Dutch-Moroccan criminal organisation.[1][2] Seventeen suspects are standing trial for involvement in a number of murders and attempted murders.[3] The name of the trial was picked at random by a computer and relates to a fabric named marengo.[4]
On 27 February 2024 it concluded after six years. Of the 17 prosecuted people, three were sentenced to life imprisonment, including Ridouan Taghi and Saïd Razzouki, over their role in ten murders.[5]
