Lviv Oblast (Ukrainian: Льві́вська о́бласть, romanized: Lvivska oblast, IPA:[ˈlʲwiu̯sʲkɐˈɔblɐsʲtʲ]), also referred to as Lvivshchyna (Ukrainian: Льві́вщина, IPA:[ˈlʲwiu̯ʃtʃɪnɐ]),[a] is an oblast in western Ukraine. The capital of the oblast is the city of Lviv. The current population is 2,478,133 (2022 estimate).[3]
