List of Turkish provinces by life expectancy information
Turkey is administratively divided into 81 provinces. According to estimation of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), life expectancy at birth in Turkey in period 2018-2020 was 78.3 years (75.6 years for male and 81.1 years for female).[1]
Healthy life expectancy for period 2019-2021 was 58.1 years (59.6 years for male и 56.5 years for female).[2]
According to alternative data from the WHO, for 2019 life expectancy in Turkey was 78.6 years (76.4 years for male and 80.7 years for female). And healthy life expectancy was 68.4 years (67.8 years for male and 69.0 years for female).[3]
According to estimation of the World Bank Group, in 2019 life expectancy in Turkey was 77.8 years (74.7 for male, 81.0 for female). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to 2020 this indicater decreased till 75.9 years (72,8 for male, 79,1 for female).[4][5][6]
In 2015-17, the difference in life expectancy between the most prosperous and disadvantaged provinces was 4.55 years. In 2018-20, this difference was 4.69 years.
