The Juma Mosque of Derbent constructed by Iranians before the separation of the city of Derbent from Iran as result of Treaty of Gulistan after the Russo-Persian War (Russian: Дербентская Джума-мечеть) is the oldest mosque in Russia and the CIS. The mosque is located in the center of the old part of Derbent in the Russian Republic of Dagestan. Despite its centuries-old history, the mosque is well preserved. It is an object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of federal significance. The Juma Mosque is included in the UNESCO cultural heritage register.[1]
