Gaykhatu (Mongolian script:ᠭᠠᠶᠢᠬᠠᠯᠳᠤ; Mongolian: Гайхалт, romanized: Gaikhalt, lit. 'Surprising')[1] was the fifth Ilkhanate ruler in Iran. He reigned from 1291 to 1295. His Buddhist baghshi gave him the Tibetan name Rinchindorj (Standard Tibetan: རིན་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ, lit. 'Jewel Diamond') which appeared on his paper money.
