Eugene Thacker is an American author. He is Professor of Media Studies at The New School in New York City.[1] Previously he was a professor at Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication.[2] His writing is associated with the philosophy of nihilism and pessimism. Thacker's books include In the Dust of This Planet (part of his Horror of Philosophy trilogy) and Infinite Resignation. Many of his media contributions are developments of Science and Technology Studies. He has produced theory around how media informs and augments biological processes across several publications.
