Danylo Ilkovych Terpylo,[a] widely known as the Green Ataman[b] (28 December [O.S. 16 December] 1886 – October 1919) was one of the commanders of the Green armies during the Russian Civil War. The Green armies under Terpylo's leadership fought the White Army, Red Army, and Ukrainian People's Republic forces.
