Charles Alexander Black (February 6, 1808 - March 6, 1889) was an American Democratic politician from Greene County, Pennsylvania who served in the Pennsylvania Senate from 1843 to 1848 as well as the Superintendent of Public Instruction during the tenure of Governor William Bigler.[1]
