Beyond the Permafrost is the second full-length album by American metal band Skeletonwitch. The album blends thrash metal and influence from the NWOBHM movement with death/black metal vocals. The song "Soul Thrashing Black Sorcery" was featured in the video game, Brütal Legend.[1] The songs, while aggressive, also have melodic parts.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
^Beyond The Permafrost is also the last full length album that features Derrick Nau on drums. The album's lyrical content follows similar themes that were prominent in their first album, At One With The Shadows, including themes such as vampires, sorrow, and all things macabre. Two remastered songs from At One With The Shadows appear on Beyond The Permafrost; Within My Blood, and Baptized In Flames, and Vengeance Will Be Mine. The album also features a remastered version of the song Fire From The Sky, which originally appeared on their 2006 EP, Worship The Witch. CoC : Skeletonwitch – Beyond the Permafrost : Review
