The Battle of Kufit was a military engagement fought on 22–23 September 1885, between the Mahdist Sudanese and Ethiopian forces. This fighting resulted in a crushing defeat for the Mahdists and a victory for the Ethiopians led by Ras Alula.[2][3][4]
