The Yugoslav national broadcaster, JRT, organized a national final, JRT izbor za pjesmu Evrovizije – Sarajevo '91, to select its entry for the contest held in Rome, Italy. This was Yugoslavia's penultimate Eurovision entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.
