Yosef Amit (Hebrew: born יוסף עמית 1945[1]) is a former Israeli military intelligence major who was convicted of espionage in 1987.[2][3] Amit is thought to have spied for the United States and a European NATO country, though this has never been confirmed by the Israeli government.[3]
