William McKane, FBA, FRSE (21 February 1921 – 4 September 2004) was Scottish Hebraist, Old Testament scholar and Church of Scotland minister. He was the Professor of Hebrew and Oriental Languages at the University of St Andrews from 1968 to 1990.
