Walter Clifford Minnick (born September 20, 1942) is an American businessman, politician, and lobbyist who served as a U.S. Representative for Idaho's 1st congressional district, serving from 2009 until 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and is the last Democrat to represent Idaho in Congress.

The district is in the western part of the state, and includes roughly one-fourth of Boise and most of its suburbs, as well as Meridian and Nampa. It also includes the cities of Lewiston, Moscow and Coeur d'Alene.

In 2008, Minnick defeated incumbent Bill Sali to win his office, but in 2010 he was defeated by challenger Raúl Labrador in the general election.[2]
