The Wall of Grief (Russian: Стена́ ско́рби, romanized: Stena skorbi;[1] sometimes translated as Wall of Sorrow)[2][3] is a monument in Moscow to the victims of political persecution by Joseph Stalin during the country's Soviet era. The national memorial was unveiled by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow on October 30, 2017, the annual Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions.[4]
