Tulia Ackson (born 23 November 1976) is the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, in office since 2022.[1][2] She was appointed as a Member of Parliament by President John Magufuli.[3][4] On the 27th October 2023, she was elected the President of the IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union) through the meeting convened at Luanda Angola were she passed other contestants by a great margin, the results that gave Tanzania United Republic a high reputation.
