Toshio Kurosawa (黒沢 俊夫, Kurosawa Toshio, June 10, 1914[1] – June 23, 1947[2]) was a Japanese baseball outfielder who played eight seasons in the Japanese Baseball League from 1936 to 1947. His career was cut short due to typhoid fever, from which he died at age 33.[2] Kurosawa's number 4 was retired by his last club, the Yomiuri Giants, the same year, and was among the first to be retired in all of Japanese baseball.[2]
