He played as a quarterback for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and Arizona Cardinals as well as the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe. He played college football for the Boston College Eagles. He is the younger brother of former NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
