The Chase Australia is an Australian television quiz show based on the British program of the same name. It is broadcast on the Seven Network and premiered on 14 September 2015. Four contestants play against an opponent, known as the "chaser", who plays for the bank.[2] The show was originally hosted by Andrew O'Keefe[3][4][5] until July 2021, when he was replaced by Larry Emdur.[6][7] The series began with Brydon Coverdale, Anne Hegerty, Matt Parkinson and Issa Schultz as chasers,[8][9] with Mark Labbett joining in 2016.[10] Shaun Wallace appeared as a guest chaser in 2018, and Cheryl Toh has appeared as a chaser since 2019.[11][12] Mara Lejins joined as a chaser in 2022,[13] and Brandon Blackwell and David Poltorak joined as chasers in 2024.[14][15]
The series has also spawned a prime-time celebrity series, and a spin-off called Beat The Chasers.
