The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE; Hebrew: הַבּוּרְסָה לִנְיָירוֹת עֵרֶךְ בְּתֵל אָבִיב; colloquially known as The Bursa, הַבּוּרְסָה)[3] is Israel's only public stock exchange and a public company that has been traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange since August 1, 2019. Legally, the exchange is regulated by the Securities Law (1968), and is under the direct supervision of the Israel Securities Authority (ISA).[4]
TASE plays a major role in the Israeli economy, and the 23 TASE members are major banks and investment houses. Trading on TASE is conducted solely through the TASE members that collect a fee for the services they provide. TASE serves to trade securities and to raise capital and debt for companies and the government on the Israeli capital market.[5]
