Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra (Bengali: স্বাধীন বাংলা বেতার কেন্দ্র, lit. 'Free Bengal Radio Centre') was the radio broadcasting centre of Bengali nationalist forces during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. This station played an important role in the liberation struggle, broadcasting the Declaration of Independence and increasing the morale of Bangladeshis during the genocide. In 1971, radio was the only media reaching the far ends of Bangladesh. The station ran a liberation campaign throughout the liberation war.

The guerrilla fighters used to pay a visit to his home and store weapons at his home. At one stage, he was taken captive by the Pakistanis and tortured inhumanity in the torture cell. He received martyrdom there. Abdul Ahad rejected his prize given by the Pakistani government as a gesture of protest against the Pakistani government. The artists of the Bangladesh Mukti Sangran Shilpi Sangstha, Bangabandhu Shilpigosthi, and Swadhin Bangla Muktizoddha Sangskritik Sangggo encouraged at all the people including freedom fighters. Moreover, many singers played a vital role in the War of Liberation with their merit, creativity, and hard work.
