Steve Bechtel (born March 19, 1970) is a rock climber, coach, and author based in Lander, Wyoming. He has been important in developing climbing around the region since the 1990s.[7][8] Bechtel is considered a prime suspect in the unsolved disappearance of his first wife, Amy Wroe Bechtel.[9][10][11]
