The speckledblack salamander (Aneides flavipunctatus), previously known as just the black salamander, is a species of salamander in the family Plethodontidae. It is endemic to the U.S. state of California.[2] Its natural habitats are temperate forests and temperate grassland. It is threatened by habitat loss.
