South Africa competed in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland from 23 July – 3 August 2014.[2] It is the sixth occasion that South Africa has been represented at the Commonwealth Games since re-joining the Commonwealth in 1994 after a break of 33 years during the international sports isolation period. The squad is spread over 15 codes, from aquatics to wrestling.[3]
