Sorabe or Sora-be (سُرَبِ, Malagasy pronunciation: [suˈrabe]) is an abugida based on Arabic, formerly used to transcribe the Malagasy language (belonging to the Malayo-Polynesian language family) and the Antemoro Malagasy dialect, dating from the 15th century.[3]
