Shumyachi (Russian: Шумячи; Belarusian: Шумячы) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Shumyachsky District of Smolensk Oblast, Russia. Population: 4,227 (2010 Russian census);[3]4,731 (2002 Census);[9]5,724 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
