Shazand (Persian: شازند)[a] is a city in the Central District of Shazand County, Markazi province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 19,353 in 5,265 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 21,156 people in 6,231 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 21,181 people in 6,677 households.[2]
