The Seibu 2000 series (西武2000系) is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway on commuter services in the Tokyo area of Japan since 1977.[4] Though the Seibu 2000 series were built from 1976 to 1993,[1] trains manufactured from 1988 were very different from previous models, and these are classified as the New 2000 series.
