Samia Yaba Christina Nkrumah (born 23 June 1960)[1] is a Ghanaian politician and former chairperson of the Convention People's Party, making her the first woman to ever head a major political party in Ghana (CPP).[2] In the 2008 parliamentary election, she won the Jomoro constituency[3] seat at her first attempt. She is the daughter of Kwame Nkrumah, first President of Ghana.[4]
