Robert Spano (/ˈspænoʊ/SPAN-oh; born 7 May 1961) is an American conductor[1][2][3][4][5][6] and pianist. He is currently music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra,[7] music director of the Aspen Music Festival and School,[8] principal conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, and music director laureate of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO).
