Recsk forced labor camp was a forced labor camp in the communist era[1][2][3] in Hungary operated by the State Protection Authority (ÁVH) between October 1950[2] and the fall of 1953[1][4],[5] near the quarry of the Csákány-kő[6] hill, next to the village of Recsk in Heves county. It is the most infamous of the approximately 100 communist era internment[7] and labor camps of various sizes[8] in Hungary.
