Rasul Khan was a general of Ismael Adil Shah, the Sultan of Bijapur, who commanded an army of Bijapur troops to recapture Goa from the Portuguese Empire in 1512. Khan's troops were repelled by forces commanded by Afonso de Albuquerque, culminating in the siege of the Benastarim fortress.[1]
