For the rancho in present-day Santa Clara County, see Rancho Laguna Seca (Alvires).
Rancho Laguna Seca was a 2,179-acre (8.82 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Monterey County, California given in 1834 by Governor José Figueroa to Catalina M. Munrás.[1] "Laguna Seca" means "Dry Lake" in Spanish, referring to the seasonal lake, Laguna Seca. The grant was east of present-day Monterey.[2]
