Dame Rachel Susan GriffithDBE FBA FAcSS (born 16 May 1963[1]) is a British-American academic and educator. She is professor of economics at the University of Manchester[2] and a research director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.[3]
Griffith was president of the European Economic Association for 2015,[4][5] making her the first woman to hold the position.[6] She was also joint managing editor of The Economic Journal between 2011 and 2017.[7]
Griffith holds both UK and US citizenship.[1]
