Polypoetes forficata is a moth of the family Notodontidae. It is found in eastern Ecuador.
The length of the forewings is 12 to 14 millimetres (0.47 to 0.55 in) for males and 13.5 to 15 millimetres (0.53 to 0.59 in) for females. The ground color of the forewings is dark brown to blackish brown, but lighter in the basal third. The central area of the hindwings is immaculate white, with scattered dark brown scales near the base.
The larvae feed on Psammisia species.
