Piya Sengupta (born in Kolkata, India) is an Indian actress and producer.[4] She is known for her work in Bengali cinema.[3] She is the daughter of Sukhen Das and mother of Bonny Sengupta.[3][5]
As an actress, she made her debut opposite Prosenjit Chatterjee in Sujit Guha's Dadamoni (1984).[6] She rose to prominence for her role opposite Joy Banerjee in Milan Tithi (1985) directed by Sukhen Das. Even though the film was a massive success at the box office, she did not achieve any further significant feat in her career.[3]
