Paul Robert Morantz (August 16, 1945 – October 23, 2022) was an American attorney and investigative journalist.
He was known for taking legal cases alleging brainwashing by cults and self-help groups and for sexual misconduct by psychotherapists.[2][3][4] His successful prosecution of Synanon led to an attempt against his life by means of a rattlesnake placed in his mailbox.[2][5][6][7]
