The Pacific Research Institute for Public Policy (PRI) is a California-based free-market think tank which promotes "the principles of individual freedom and personal responsibility" through policies that emphasize a free economy, private initiative, and limited government.[3] PRI was founded in 1979 by British philanthropist Antony Fisher and a San Francisco businessman James North.[4][5] The organization has an office in Sacramento California and their headquarters office in Pasadena California.
