Novomalyklinsky District (Russian: Новомалыкли́нский райо́н; Tatar: Яңа Малыклы районы) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 971 square kilometers (375 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Novaya Malykla.[1] Population: 15,379 (2010 Census);[3] 17,167 (2002 Census);[7] 18,851 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Novaya Malykla accounts for 21.3% of the district's total population.[3]
