Necile is a wood nymph who becomes the adoptive mother of Santa Claus in the 1902 novel The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.[1]
She recurs in the 1985 film by Rankin/Bass[2] (voiced by Lesley Miller) then the 1996 anime series then the 2000 film by Mike Young Productions (voiced by Dixie Carter) inspired by the novel.
She has also been portrayed in musicals adapting the story.[3][4]
Shiegra knows better than to cross Ak, however, and she gives Li'l Claus her milk until a wood nymph named Necile decides that she wants to raise Santa as her son, since immortals have no children of their own.
Ak decides that was a dumb idea and has wood nymph Necile and a random assortment of freaky forest creatures raise him instead.
Claus was a mortal baby that was found in the woods by a nymph named Necile. He was named Neclaus, but Necile preferred to call him Claus, and she raised him on her own. In this world, which includes the likes of woodland fairies and elves, the inhabitants are immortal. As he grows up, Necile warns Claus of the Awgwas
Shearin will play Necile, a mythical being who discovers Claus as a baby and watches over him throughout his life.
