Naidu information

Naidu (also spelled as Nayudu, Naidoo) is a native Telugu surname commonly used by some Telugu castes. 'Nayudu/Naidu' (నాయుడు) is a contraction of the Telugu word 'Nayakudu' (నాయకుడు) meaning leader, chief, headman.[1][2] Telugu castes such as the Balija,Kapu/Telaga,[3][4][5][6] Kamma, Gavara,[7][8] Golla,[9][10] Mudiraju,[11] Turpu Kapu,[12] Velama and Boya[13] use the title.

In Coastal Andhra, the term Naidu primarily refers to Kapu/Telaga caste.[14][15][16]
